Why should I NOT use an
"chain store" to sell my items?
These
stores are not
run by
Ebay employees. They are run by any person who came up with the money to
afford a store front. They then hire employees that may know nothing
about Ebay.
In my dealings with them as a BUYER I have found them to be rude,
unknowledgeable about the items they are selling, having a lack of
research done on the item they are selling, and have very high
shipping costs. I usually see them sell light items that are cheap
to ship with very high shipping costs. What this means is the
potential buyer figures up how much he/she wants to spend on the
item. He/she figure in the cost to ship the item. So they put a much
smaller bid in to compensate for that. The owner of the item only
makes profit on the item's final selling price. So the buyer loses
out while the chain store makes most of their money from the high
shipping cost. I charge actual shipping costs. I have also found
these stores to be uncaring about their customers. I care about my
customers. I make friends with the people I sell for and sell to. I
